Cathy S. Compton

Having practiced law for more than 20 years, Attorney Cathy S. Compton has the experience and trial skill necessary to help clients in a wide range of cases. She is a native Texan who was raised in the multicultural environments of Louisiana and Texas. At a young age, she spent time traveling to and living in Mexico. Utilizing her upbringing and experience, Ms. Compton has an appreciation for the strength that is built from diversity.

After graduating from Loyola Law School, Ms. Compton began her career in Los Angeles, serving as an immigration lawyer and helping clients from across the globe. In 1997, she returned to Texas and was licensed to practice law in the state working as both an Assistant District Attorney and defense lawyer. She has also kept her knowledge of immigration laws up to date, helping crime victims and non-profit organizations.

Backed by a successful trial record in even the most complex cases, Ms. Compton is recognized as a seasoned litigator in the courtroom. She is focused on preparation and knowledge of the laws concerning her cases. She served as the former Family Justice Division Chief for the Hays County District Attorney's Office. During this time, she managed a small division of trial attorneys, helping to train them and serving as a mentor. She brings her experience to the table for both criminal and immigration law matters.

With a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork with Larry Dean Bloomquist, Ms. Compton has handled many cases successfully in many district and circuit courts in both California and Texas. She is bilingual in Spanish and English, and has also studied French, Russian, and Polish. She has been invited to be a speaker in various symposiums and conferences both nationally and internationally.

Ms. Compton is the co-founder of the Alamo City Rollergirls, LLC. This company still thrives today and is designed to help empower women while providing mutual support through athleticism and diversity. Cathy Compton is also Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
